For clients
Annex BV helps people gain better access to the Dutch job market. This is done by employing people temporarily in part time jobs. The goal of the temporary employment is to gain insight in a person's abilities and ambitions and how to use these in the search for a future job. Extra guidance and support are given where required. If needed, doctors and/or psychologists are available for specific consults and tests. At the end of the temporary employment, all insights that have been gained will be summarized in a report. Employment via Annex BV is usually at the request of Sociale Zaken Maastricht Heuvelland, UWV or Podium24. People keep their social or employment benefits while working via Annex BV.
Your contact person (for example of Sociale Zaken Maastricht Heuvelland, UWV, etc.) would possibly like to know more about your skills and talents. If so, your contact person can decide to sign you up with Annex BV, in order for you to show your abilities in regard to employment. You will then be working for Annex for a number of hours per week. Before you start, you will have an interview with a consultant of Annex, during which the both of you will examine what goal(s) can be achieved in the future and how exactly you will reach these. Based on the information gathered during this interview, a suitable work environment will be chosen. Annex has connections with various companies and organisations in both Maastricht and surrounding areas (Heuvelland), which have suitable workplaces available. In short, you will immediately be able to start working in a ‘real’ work environment.
The arrangements made during the interview will be written down in an agreement called Trajectcontract. The Trajectcontract contains the start and finish date, working hours, location, goal, how to call in sick etc.
Employment through this programme is always temporary (13 weeks on average), usually for 20 hours per week on average, while retaining your unemployment benefits. The exact time period and the exact number of hours per week is different for everyone and is determined in consultation with the client.

On your first day you are expected to arrive at your workplace, where you will meet your supervisor. We will provide any certain tools you might need in order to carry out your work activities, for example fluorescent clothing, safety shoes or any other safety workwear. We will also provide work trousers and a work shirt.
Your first workday will start with a guided tour of your new workplace and you will go over the regulations with your supervisor. You will also receive extensive work and safety instructions. Of course you will meet your colleagues as well.
After around 4 weeks, you will evaluate yourself and your current work abilities. To do this, you will fill out an online multiple-choice questionnaire. The questions will be about:
• your social abilities: dealing with your supervisor and colleagues;
• your work abilities: your ability to work without errors and how quickly you understand difficult tasks.
Your supervisor will fill out the same questionnaire. You will discuss the answers you have given with your consultant of Annex. This way we will get a picture of your performance, your strengths and perhaps some points of improvement. Based on these points of improvement you and your supervisor will be able to figure out the fastest way to get a long-term job, or, if this is not possible, how we can find a suiting way for you to keep occupied. As soon as this has been figured out, your work trial period will end and you will start your definitive job or the next step in your career.
If you are a single parent or under the age of 27 and you are unable to take part in the Annex work trial, your contact person can opt for a different kind of programme. It is possible to schedule an appointment with our psychologist, after which you will be able to receive advice in regard to your learning capacities and schooling.
